Cookie Policy
Cookies on Maternity
Effective 2026-05-02 · Last updated 2026-05-02
We try to use the smallest set of cookies that lets us run the platform safely and learn what is working. This page lists what we set and why, and explains how to switch categories on or off.
02. The categories we use
- Strictly necessary. Required for the platform to work — signing you in, securing the session, remembering your cookie preferences, processing payments. These cannot be turned off.
- Functional. Remembers preferences such as your language, last village viewed, or volume on a course video. Off by default; on with your consent.
- Analytics. Aggregate, mostly de-identified usage data we use to improve the platform. We rely on privacy-respecting analytics that do not build cross-site profiles.
- Marketing. Currently none. We do not run third-party advertising cookies. If we ever do, we will not enable them without your prior opt-in.
03. Cookie inventory
The list below is updated as our stack evolves. Names with * represent a family of cookies set by the same vendor.

04. Your consent
On your first visit from the EEA, the UK, or any jurisdiction with equivalent rules, we show a consent banner that lets you accept all, reject all (non-essential), or pick per category. Strictly-necessary cookies are set without consent, as the law allows.
You can change your decision any time from the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
05. How to control cookies
Beyond the in-app preferences, you can also block or delete cookies through your browser. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will break functionality such as sign-in. Major browsers’ instructions:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Safari: Settings → Privacy.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.
06. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as an opt-out from non-essential cookies. The legacy Do Not Track header is treated the same way.
07. Changes to this policy
We update the inventory whenever we add, remove, or change a cookie vendor. The version date at the top of the page tells you when it last changed.
